Objective: Create a brand identity for an up and coming clothing company in San Francisco. Along with branding, I designed business pieces as well as 3D designs for the company. During the duration of the semester, I collaborated in a group to design a wireframe for a mobile app for Amy XOXO. After the collaboration, we then drifted off and designed a mobile app that suited for the branding direction I created for the company.
Strategy/Solution: With Amy XOXO being an up and coming clothing company, creating a brand that stands out from the competition, which helped be conduct research of their target audience. With Amy XOXO’s target audience being teenage girls to young adult women, the direction of branding could go in different directions. I then created three different mood boards that helped me determine which direction I wanted to go to create the brand. Once I decided on the identity I started to develop logos based on the direction I chose. With the company being based in San Francisco, I wanted to incorporate the San Fransisco bay bridge into the logo design. Once the logo was completed, I then designed different business cards, letter heads and envelops for the company to use. After that, I then designed gift cards, rewards cards, clothing tags, shopping bad and a magazine flip book.
During the collaborative process, we discussed the different tabs and things needed to support the mobile app. After researching different clothing apps, we narrowed down the basics of what the app needed. Once the wire frame was designed, we then branched off and started to create our own mobile app that incorporated our own design direction.
