Objective: Create a visual display organizing a music library of 50 songs.
Strategy/Solution: People are often characterized based on the music they listen to. The 50 songs in my personal music library range from 70s hits to what's current. Color was used to differentiate the musical genres; purple as hip hop, pink as pop, blue as rock and yellow as country. The music visualization helps the user organize the songs by duration, year and genre. Then once the song is clicked on, a colorful display of the songs occurs changing with the beats of the songs. To make this visualization personable to me, I made the different genres into flowers (since I love floral patterns) and having the different songs in that genre be the flower petals.
