abril poster
glyph & poster design
Objective: Create two new glyphs for a base twelve system. Base your design on the typeface Abril.
Strategy/Solution: Researching and picking a font to design glyphs for was the hardest part to this project. I enjoyed the Abril font, it was a simple serif font that has modern touches. Then I incorporated aspects from the font to create the glyphs; which were supposed to stand for numbers. I used different elements from the numbers in the font, like the curves of the 8 and the slanted lines of the 7. After that was done, I then started designing a poster that complimented the new glyphs as well as incorporated Abril and context of the font.
