Center for Entrepreneurship

Promotional, Marketing & Social Media Design

Objective: Work with the client on a multitude of projects for the Center for Entrepreneurship Department at California State University, Chico.

My team and I worked on:

  • Promotional flyers for a minor in Entrepreneurship for students outside of the College of Business

  • Event flyers for several alumni speaker events hosted by the Center for Entrepreneurship

  • Banner design to help promote diversity, the center and can be used at their events

  • Social media design to promote their leadership piloting program coming that following fall

Strategy/Solution: The strategy for creating the promotional flyers was to incorporate the different aspects of the center to have it appeal to students outside of the College of Business. I incorporated the CFE’s colors as well as sparks of yellow. collaborative pictures from (free domain Pexel) that shows the different steps going into entrepreneurship that doesn’t have to focus on business.

The strategy for designing the event flyers was using the colors created by CFE as well as taking a different direction from their original flyers. I wanted to create a flyer that can be adapted for any event as well as promote the discussions and the alumni that would be presenting at these events.

The strategy for the banners was to incorporate the geometric themes that were presented in the other design materials that were done for CFE. The client wanted to focus on diversity, to attract to people of color as well as women, with their program being male dominated. I researched through the photographs taken at several CFE events that achieved the goal created by the client.I also incorporated contact information for CFE as well as their social media information to attract to students.

The strategy for the social media post design for CFE’s piloting program was to incorporate pictures of students, since the program is created for them. Instead of creating one post, my team and I decided to create a set 5 that used different layouts, pictures and designs for CFE to use as needed.
